My name is Robert Murch and my husband’s name is Gary Halteman. This site is dedicated to preserving and protecting same-sex couple’s right to marry in Massachusetts and educating people from all 50 states on what the real issue is by encouraging an open and honest dialog. Same-sex marriage isn’t exclusive to Massachusetts and in one way or another, regardless of where you live, same-sex marriage will touch your life. The Freedom to Marry Coalition of Massachusetts
Working with other groups in Massachusetts and are part of a growing number of groups and individuals across the nation committed to working for civil marriage rights for gays and lesbians. Individuals and groups are invited to join with us in our important work.

Founded in 1978, Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) is New England’s leading legal rights organization dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation, HIV status and gender identity and expression. Providing litigation, advocacy, and educational work in all areas of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender civil rights and the rights of people living with HIV, GLAD has a full-time legal staff and a network of cooperating attorneys across New England.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

The History Project
Established in 1980 by a group of historians, activists and archivists — is the only group focused exclusively on preserving the history of Boston’s LGBT community, and on making that history accessible to future generations. This research and preservation is of paramount importance for the LGBT community, which is often excluded from history.

KnowThyNeighbor.org is a grassroots, non-profit organization promoting dialogue on marriage equality in Massachusetts and advocating for the removal of governmental barriers to public information by providing meaningful access online.

MassEquality.org is a coalition of local and national groups dedicated to ensuring that the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decision on marriage equality is upheld, and that any anti-gay amendment or legislation is defeated.

PFLAG (Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays)
A group of parents, families, friends, and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, who are committed to giving support to each other as they discover and understand more about being human. Their purpose is to help change attitudes and to create an environment of understanding so that our gay family members and friends can live with dignity and respect. They accomplish this mission through support, education, and advocacy.

Boston Pride
For over 35 years Boston Pride has organized a week of Pride events, including the week-topping Parade and Festival. And the Boston community has plenty to be proud of! Not only does Boston host the largest Pride celebration in New England (over 400,000 participants), but our community celebrates in the only state that allows same-sex couples the legal right to marry!

Gay Games
Built upon the principles of Participation, Inclusion and Personal Best™, for more than 20 years the Gay Games have empowered tens of thousands of LGBT athletes through fellowship and friendly competition.

From 26 July to 5 August 2006, the 1st World Outgames will do just that,bringing together lesbian, gay,bisexual,and transgender (LGBT) athletes from around the world in unprecedented numbers for a celebration of sport, culture and human rights.In the spirit of true inclusiveness, the Outgames are open to all,regardless of sexual orientation; all are welcome to participate.

Fenway Community Health
The mission of Fenway Community Health is to enhance the physical and mental health of its community, which includes those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, the people who live and work in our neighborhood, and beyond. The Fenway provides high quality, comprehensive health care in a welcoming environment. The health center seeks to improve the overall health of the larger community, locally and nationally, through education and training, policy and advocacy, and research and evaluation. The Gay & Bi Men's Health Program

The Gay & Bi Men's Health Program is an organization that is funded by the Massachusettes Dept. of Public Health and private donations. Our staff answer questions about HIV prevention, STD prevention, safer sex practices, and other issues regarding sexual health. We also facilitate social/discussion groups, and group education. GBMHP outreach workers go to clubs and other venues to provide free condoms, lube, information and referrals to health services for gay and bi men. We mostly cater to men who live outside the Boston area, on the North Shore and in the Merrimack Valley, but have formed alliances all over Massachusetts and the U.S.
