MBTA - Commuter Rail
Salem is just a 24 minute ride by train from Boston via the commuter rail leaving departing North Station.
Direction from Logan Airport
- Start out going north on Terminal D / Terminal C. - 0.1 miles
- Turn Slight left onto I-90 E / Mass Pike/ Massachusetts Turnpike. - 1.1 miles
- Turn Slight Right onto William F McClellan HWY / MA-1A N / East Boston Expy. Continue to follow MA-1A N. - 2.5 miles
- Turn Slight right onto Beach Street / MA-1A N. Continue to follow MA-1A N. Pass through 1 roundabout. - 4.8 miles
- Turn Left onto Market St. / MA-1A. Continue to follow Market St. - 0.4 miles
- Turn Slight left onto City Hall Square. - <0.1 miles
- Stay Straight to go onto Franklin St. - 0.4 miles
- Turn right onto Western Ave./ MA-107. Continue to follow MA-107. - 4.3 miles
- Turn right onto Jackson St. - 0.1 miles
- Turn right onto Calabrese St. - <0.1 miles
- End at Salem, MA 01970, US
Directions from Route 128/95
South
- Head northeast from I-95 N
- Continue on RT-128 N toward Gloucester - 2.5 miles
- Take exit 25A to Lowell St./West Peabody - 0.1 miles
- Take the RT-114 E ramp to Salem/Marblehead - 0.7 miles
- Bear right at Central St - 0.6 miles
- Turn left at Main St - 0.5 miles
- Continue on Boston St - 0.8 miles
- Turn right at Essex St - 0.1 miles
- Turn left at Jackson St - 0.3 miles
North
- Head south from I-95 N
- Take the RT-114 E exit 47A to Peabody - 0.2 miles
